Cathy Cunningham-Little lives in San Antonio, TX, where she grew up with her American father and Japanese mother.  She studied at the University of Texas at San Antonio in the 1970s and later at the renowned Pilchuck Glass School in Washington State.  Since the late 1980s, Cunningham-Little’s work and has been widely exhibited, including at Miami Project in Miami, FL; the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio, TX; the Austin Museum of Art; the New Breunfels Museum of Art and Music in Greune, TX; the Mexic-arte Museum in Austin, TX; the Museum of Neon Art in Los Angeles; the LA Art Show; the Arnheim Gallery at Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, MA; and artMRKT in San Francisco.  Internationally, she has exhibited at the Santa Reparata Int’l School of Art in Florence, Italy; HsinChu Municipal Cultural Center in Taiwan; and the Seto Shinyou Kinko Gallery in Seto, Japan.  Her upcoming exhibitions include the San Antonio Museum of Art (2015), the Art Museum of South Texas in Corpus Christi (2014), and a solo exhibition at the International Museum of Art and Science in McAllen, TX (2014-15).


Cunningham-Little has been awarded artist residencies at Kunstlerhaus Bethanian in Berlin, Germany; Amistad National Recreation Area in Del Rio, TX; the Houston Center for Contemporary Glass; and the U-cross foundation in Clearmont, WY.  She has received the ArtPace travel grant for research in Germany, an Individual Artist Grant from the City of San Antonio, scholarships to the University of Texas at San Antonio and the Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts in Gatlinberg, TN, and numerous scholarships to the Pilchuck Glass School.  She has completed nine public commissions in Texas since 1987.  Cunningham-Little is represented by Chandra Cerrito Contemporary in Oakland, CA.
