Strange Fruit is a series of sculptures made as part of the Fruit Stand Collective, a collaborative installation in Napa, CA in October 2005.  These carved and pickled vegetables are based on the forms depicted in the Monument drawings.  In the context of a fruit stand, these technically edible food products were confounding oddities. 

Specimens, pastel drawings of Strange Fruit sculptures, remove the sculptures from their context, leaving even fewer clues as to what objects are contained within the glass jars.
